Alyssa Mathisen

Helping people is my passion - helping them to find a great space to call home, make a great investment, and improve their circumstances. No matter what a person’s stage in life – first-time homebuyers to downsizers, your goals are my goals. I am a people person and believe that when I focus on your needs, I can make the pieces of the puzzle come together and find exactly what you are looking for.

I have lived by the philosophy that no one is a stranger, just a friend I haven’t met yet (thank you William Butler Yeats). This saying has proven true in both my travels and my career. I find myself with new friends every day and finding camaraderie in shared stories and experiences!

My background and degree are in psychology. These have helped me be a better real estate agent as I understand how people think (which is key in negotiating!). My background in administrative work has helped prepare me to tackle the paperwork and detail organization that comes with serving you. It may seem odd, but I thoroughly enjoy paperwork and organization. My genuine love for people and appreciation of paperwork makes me the perfect person to help you find a home, or to sell your home.

When I am not helping my clients, I love spending time with my family. My faith is also very important to me. You can find me on an adventure whether that be a trip to the ocean, hiking in the mountains, camping in Eastern Washington along the Columbia River, reveling in a great cup of coffee, or enjoying my mermaid time in the water. As a life-long resident of Western Washington I love our state and all it has to offer. Even when I traveled abroad, I could not wait to come back home to see the mountains and evergreen trees. It is not just the scenery I wanted to come back to, but also the people. I love being surrounded by people from all walks of life.
